Effective Modeling of OUPFC Into Newton-Raphson Power Flow Considering Multi-Control Modes and Operating Constraints

The Optimal Unified Power Flow Controller (OUPFC) is an efficient series-shunt controller that incorporated to system control the power flow through transmission lines. Modeling of such a challenge task due required complex modifications Newton Raphson (NR) consider parameters OUPFC. aim this paper includes (1) presenting novel model OUPFC into NR flow, (2) avoiding complicities modeling solution, (3) multi-control modes established active and reactive powers concurrently or separately and, (4) handling violation operating constraints by using developed methods. proposed based on injection representation where are represented as injected loads function pre-requested variables (specified values). Therefore, including its reduced. methods for violations modifying specified values maximum limits constraints. implemented IEEE 14-bus, 30-bus, 57-bus 118-bus test systems. simulation results verified feasibility robustness presented load analysis. in addition, effectiveness approaches
